Sam Parsons is a Body Control Pilates instructor with more than ten years of experience and is also a member of the Register for Exercise Professionals.
Sam has ridden, trained and competed horses professionally. She has a particular interest in the biomechanics of the human body and the dynamics of the trainer/rider/horse relationship. Sam continues to train riders to help them improve their riding position and influence their horse more effectively, resulting in a better performance by both horse and rider.
Sam has always been interested in rehabilitation and performance, and has turned her focus to Pilates as a targeted method of training and rehabilitation.
She is also passionate about adapting the Pilates method to meet the needs of older people, to help them retain their physical fitness, functional independence and psychological well-being into old age.
Sam teaches at the boutique studio of Winchester Pilates, at Brockenhurst Village Hall and Chilworth Hall. She also travels to people’s homes across the Southampton, Winchester and New Forest area as well as equestrian centres across the Hampshire.
